About us

Welcome to Marathon Display Frames – built by runners, for runners.

We’re Owen Walker and Reece Barnes, two mates from the Gold Coast who started this company with one simple goal: to help runners celebrate their achievements properly.

I've always wanted to run a marathon, and in 2023 I did just that by running the Gold Coast Marathon in Australia. Crossing the finish line was a huge personal achievement, and I wanted to display my medal and bib on the wall in my house as a nice reminder.

That’s when I ran into a few of problems (no pun intended):

  1. I couldn’t find a frame that I liked.
  2. The event organisers didn't seem to sell a frame specifically designed for that event.
  3. I didn't know if any of the cheap frames I found online would even fit my medal and bib - let alone be good quality.

And with each race having different sizes, it was frustrating not to find a simple solution. That’s what led Reece and I to create Marathon Display Frames. We wanted to design frames that are not only stylish but also versatile enough to fit any medal or bib, no matter the race.

Our goal is to help runners like you preserve and showcase your hard-earned accomplishments in a way that’s as unique as the journey itself.

After crossing the finish line at the Gold Coast marathon, we realised something was missing — a high-quality, event-branded way to display our medals with pride. So we built it.

Why we're different

At Marathon Display Frames, we design and produce every product in-house. Our display frames aren’t generic or poor quality. They’re officially event-branded, made in Australia, and crafted specifically to match the look and feel of the marathon you conquered. We care about the detail because we know what that medal means to you.

Why runners choose us:

  • Event-branded frames tailored to each marathon
  • Designed, made, and shipped from Australia
  • Built by actual runners who get it
  • Fast, friendly, real-person support

Our journey so far

What started as a personal project has grown into a mission. Thousands of runners now display their medals with pride thanks to our frames. And we’re just getting started.

Thanks for being part of the journey.
